Luckily, I kept writing a diary during this time and all photos are still on my notebook :D
I used the morning to update this blog. Because there wasn't anything else to do, it was the best solution to use the time ;) Just for writing about one day, I needed about 2 hours. Man, it's really hard to describe this journey in readable text :D
For lunch we had Phở Bò (noodle soup with beef) in a restaurant near the hotel. Then we went to Đà Nẵng to get our train back to Hanoi. But before we actually got onto the train, we wanted to use some of our remaining time to walk along the beach nearby. Unfortunately this plan felt literally into the water because suddenly it started to rain heavenly. So we could just wait for about two hours until the train arrived the station.
It was about 5:30pm and the travel back to Hanoi started. Because the train needed about 20 hours to arrive in Hanoi, we stayed in sleeping compartments during this time. There is not much to say about being 20 hours in a train, so here is it ;)
Especially at the beginning, we saw many beautiful landscapes. From mountain ranges over rice fields to the sea, the surroundings offered a variety of sceneries. The train itself wasn't that beautiful. As my mother said it "seems to be from Siberia and be on track before 1989". My interpretation: The train looked crappy and had many defects :D
Where are we??? |
Along the ride, sometimes we had strange breaks in the middle of nowhere. Was quite irritating oO
Anyway, we used the long ride to relax as good as we could. But even this was hard with an air conditioning system older than me and no possibility to regulate it or to open the windows in the compartments. Well, things that don't kill, make us stronger :P
To be honest, that looks more like insanity than strength :D |
Now it feels a bit like driving to Hogwarts :D |
