Hello guys!
After 35 hours of trains, buses and planes, I finally arrived in Hodogaya (near Yokohama). The weather was not really inviting (4°C and rain) but this couldn't kill my mood ^^ I already felt home, maybe not really surprising after my last time here.
And as always there are some difficulties / challenges in the beginning. The gas and warm water in my apartment were not available, so at first I took the (maybe) coldest shower in my life. Like you would go into a frozen pond (without the ice layer ;) On the plus side, it was amazingly refreshing ^^
Did I already mentioned that I love Maruta-san? :D He invited me to his family for dinner. Tomorrow is the 雛祭り (Hina-Matsuri) or also called Girls' Day. So a special dinner was prepared. ちらし寿司 (bigger Sushi in a bowl with tuna, fried egg and many more) and ハマグリの潮汁 (clam shell soup) with chicken meat and salads. One made of avocado and broccoli and the other made like an egg salad. Another proof that Japanese people are more creative and tolerant than the rest of the world when it comes to experiment with traditional food and foreign kitchen.
I was also allowed to use the bathtub, because I had only a cold shower today ^^ It was like a small 温泉 (hot spring) and some of you might remember how much I love them. And because it's Japan, the tub had a digital display for regulation. How awesome is that? Don't know why Germans don't have this. Aren't they supposed to be the engineers in the world? ;)
Only half a day in Japan, and it's already awesome. I realize again, I cannot not love this country :D
