Today I went with Oliver to the Rikkyo University in Ikebukuro to watch the university festival. It looked really like the school festivals in Manga and Anime ^^ The different sport clubs, student organizations and so on had each on a booth and sold foods and drinks or you could play games and got informed about the club / organisation.

Japanese University / School Festival |
Of course, we went to the booth of AIESEC first ;) They sold fried ice. Or better said, ice cream inside of dough which is fried for a few seconds in hot oil. Actually I forgot the Japanese name oO

Fried Ice Cream - this time strawberry ice cream with chocolate sauce |

The Library |
After that we discovered the different parts of the university. For example, we went to the library and visited some rooms from the clubs and organizations. But to be honest, we just watched a bit from the outside. Anyway, there are lots and lots of different clubs and organizations you can join here.
We went also into the Mensa, the most important place in every university. That's maybe why it was always crowded :D So for lunch we had an original Japanese University lunch. Really cool stuff you get here, even for people who don't like Japanese food much. Like Curry, Schnitzel and the fried egg with rice (underneath) I had.

University Lunch - Cheap, Very Tasty and made my stomach actually full oO |
Funny thing is, after you have eaten, you bring the dish back and pre-wash it by yourself. So there is like a basin with many little water blast pipes. After you purged the dish a bit, you just lay it in another basin with soap water. From there on, the employees of the Mensa take care. Interesting system :)

Almost Time to go? |
What else? Yeah, we ordered the fried ice cream a second time and looked more into the university buildings. Not much, but it was an interesting and funny afternoon ^^

And this is where the magic happens :) |

Thanks to AIESEC, especially for the food ^^ |
